This may not affect you but in case it helps this is what I experienced with the most recent Adobe CC update.

The latest version did not update properly and upon trying to re-download the CC desktop app I encountered repeated errors. With a 43 minute phone call and a screen share, Adobe was able to discover and correct the problem. This is not uncommon–she told me. My (Mac) did not have the correct Read/Write Privileges (permissions) so she changed several settings and now it works–yay! This was not something that I would have been able to locate or remedy. If you have similar CC download errors, don’t hesitate to call the help desk!
