Education Night with David Cobb

David M. Cobb is a professional nature, travel, and garden photographer. He has a fondness for long-distance hiking and photographing Japanese gardens. His long walks have given him an appreciation for the landscape and wilderness and his Japanese garden images make up his books Quiet Beauty: Japanese Gardens of North America and Visionary Landscapes: Japanese Garden Design in North America (Tuttle Publishing), and his newest books Oregon My Oregon: Land of Natural Wonders and Washington, Evergreen: Land of Natural Wonders (both on Timber Press) are with the Photo Cascadia team. His Japanese garden photo exhibition and images have been shown at the U.S. Botanic Garden, the Royal Botanic Garden, Descanso Gardens, and the Filoli Gardens. “My goal is to capture the wonders I see in nature for the enjoyment of all those with an eye for the extraordinary.”

Explore the language of photography and critical composition skills, and how to better incorporate these elements into your images.

After the presentation there will be a question-and-answer period.
