Tom and Cree Bol Bio
Based in Alaska, Tom and Cree have been involved in photography for 30 years. Their
assignments have ranged from photographing climbing expeditions on Denali to capturing the
Iditarod sled dog race. Tom and Cree regularly work with Nikon, Elinchrom, Singhray and others
in the photo industry. They are frequent speakers at tradeshows, photo clubs and online
conferences.
Tom was labeled ‘One of America’s Top Visionaries’ by National Geographic. Photo District
News called him ‘one of the best photo workshop leaders in the country.’ His work is diverse,
shooting everything from editorial travel assignments and portraits to landscape and wildlife.
His lighting techniques have been featured in various photo publications and advertisements.
Cree regularly shoots travel, portraits and wildlife for a variety of clients. Nikon recently
featured her bird photography in a double page magazine ad. Cree taught photography and
editing in public schools for many years. She is sought out for her photoshop editing skills and
creative photography techniques.
In addition to their assignment work, Tom and Cree offer numerous workshops every year to
locations throughout Alaska, the US and the globe. They both have a background in outdoor
education, and love to teach. Some of their workshop clients have been returning for over 20
years! They are known for their friendly, energetic teaching style.
Presentation
Tom and Cree Bol have been photographing assignments, writing articles and leading
workshops in Alaska for the last 30 years. During this presentation they will share their favorite
photo destinations and offer tips for Photographing the Last Frontier. They encourage
questions on photographing and dressing in extreme cold.
